5 Keys To Effective Prayer


Find a quiet place, you cannot pray effectively if you are surrounded by people or noises around, because you will not be free in the spirit if you think someone is listening. When Jesus was on earth, He would separate Himself from the distractions of the world and went to a mountain or a garden to pray to His Father.

Empty out your thoughts and worries to Him and wait quietly before the LORD. Moses, Ezekiel and the prophets always came to the LORD’S presence with stillness, calmness and serenity.

Play worship music to bring in the glorious presence of the Holy Spirit. It will change the whole atmosphere, all the outer influences and inner hindrances will leave. The music will lift you up. Music and praise will prepare you for victory. “And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives ”, Christ Jesus then won the victory. Matthew 26:30.

Die to self and totally surrender totally to the Lord. The flesh cannot please God. Ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you. Open Yourself to God – tell the Lord your deepest inner desires, because He responds to a heart that is tender and open before Him.
