How To Forgive?


FORGIVENESS IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE GOSPEL MESSAGE. It is God’s command for you to forgive. ( Eph. 4:32)

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

You can forgive others by realizing the great forgiveness that God has given to us. A person who cannot forgive others because they do not realize how much God has forgiven him.

( Matthew 18: 32-35 )

Forgive those who have hurt you, pray to God to give you a forgiving spirit The Lord will give you the ability to able to forgive. Release those who have hurt you to the Lord and pray a prayer of blessing over them, this is what the Lord has taught us in Roman 12:14 :-

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

However, if you have hurt others, you have to ask God to forgive you and then you have to go to them and ask them for forgiveness personally.

Always remember to walk continually in forgiveness. You must forgive others because Christ forgave you. If you are a true believer in Christ, you must forgive others because the spirit of the Lord is a spirit of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is of Christ, it focuses on God but unforgiveness is of Satan, it focuses on self. If you choose to forgive, you are identifying yourself with Christ, because God is a forgiving God. Forgiveness restores and builds but unforgiveness destroys and tears.

You MUST forgive, if not you will not be forgiven. ( Matt 6:14 )

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Forgiveness prevents you from having a spirit of bitterness, but unforgiveness will cause you to have a lot of spiritual and physical problems which may lead you to death.

It does not matter whether you are right or wrong. You have to forgive if you want God to forgive you. Live a life pleasing to the Lord. Do not hold any unforgiveness in your life, but to experience the power that forgiveness can bring to you.
