When Mark was seven years old, he rode a bicycle and was ran over by a drunk driver. Everyone thought he was going to die. But, God worked miracles through the wonderful physicians and nurses who miraculously healed his broken body.

After he regained consciousness, the doctors told his parents that he will never be able to walk or talk again. His parents never really understood the Bible and never taught him God’s word before. However, the Lord regained his ability to walk and talk again. But in the process of growing up, he always wondered about life and death. What would have happened if he died?

What happens to people after they die? Do they just cease to exist? Do they go to some exciting place called heaven? Do they go to a place called purgatory? Do they go to hell? Do they come back as animals or other people? What a mystery! It all seemed so impossible to understand. He could not find an answer to all his questions. It seemed as if there were hundreds of thousands of ideas about life and death.

He asked himself “Why am I here? Where am I going? What happens when I die? Is there life after death? Is life worth living? What is my purpose in life?

One summer holiday, God in His mercy allowed him to meet a very warm and friendly Christian couple who were able to answer his questions. He opened his Bible in front of him and share the wonderful prophecy from the second chapter of Daniel. The second chapter of Daniel gave me his first compass and anchor for the faith he developed in the Word of God.

At the Cross, God paid the full price of your sins so that He could give you eternal life! He will give you a wonderful exciting, never-ending life of adventure if you allow him. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). He confessed his sins to Jesus, believing He would forgive them just as He promised to do. Finally, he found his peace of mind and a life of adventure.

Your adventure will begin when you believe that God loves you! Look to Jesus! God’s Word says “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Confess your sins to Jesus. Believe Him. There is nothing you have done that Christ will not forgive if you ask Him to forgive you. Repent, turn to Jesus now. Talk with Him as with a friend. Pray – Prayer is talking to God as to a friend. Ask Him to live in your life daily. And, read His Word Bible, everyday. Pray each day before reading the bible. Ask God to send you His Holy Spirit to help you to understand His Word.
